small businesses in Laredo, Texas. Today, it serves as the
flagship bank of International Bancshares Corporation. Since
opening its doors in 1966, IBC's assets have grown from less
than $ 1 million to over $9 billion in assets. IBC has more than
160 facilities and over 250 ATM's serving more than 70
communities in Texas and Oklahoma.

The National Bankers Association awarded IBC their coveted High
Performance Bank Award in 1987, 1990, and 1992, in recognition
of the leadership qualities and excellence in overall
performance and service exhibited by IBC. IBC has also received
the prestigious George Washington Honor Medal from the Freedoms
Foundation at Valley Forge, and the United Way Corporate
Excellence Award for its active and strong community support. In
2001 Texas Governor Rick Perry honored IBC with the Governor's
